The numbers

The Fishing

Bristol Bay rivers historically see an annual return of more than 100,000 king salmon. Mulchatna kings run 10 to 50 lbs and average 25 to 30 lbs.

Six to eight boats carry two anglers each. Hundreds of kings are caught daily, with thousands across the narrow four-week season.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?+

We are 300 miles southwest of Anchorage on the Mulchatna River, feeding Bristol Bay. There are hundreds of miles of river where guests rarely see another boat. You fish right from our own landing, and access is not compromised by rain or fog.

Do I need my own cooler?+

No. We clean, vacuum seal and freeze your catch and give you a 48-quart cooler packed under 50 lbs.

Is there internet or electricity?+

Internet is available on request. Most guests prefer to disconnect, and guest privacy is respected.

What gear is provided?+

Fly rods and reels, regular rods and reels, ultra-lights, fresh mono and braided line, and a full arsenal of lures, leaders, bobbers and flies are on every boat.

What is the guest-to-staff ratio?+

Camp serves up to 20 and is considered full at 16. There are two guests and one guide per boat, with total staff of 15 for nearly 1:1 service.
